Gundelfingen, Germany; Freiburg, Germany
Gerald came in and slept with Suzanne. Had breakfast on the balcony - poached eggs, toast, apricot bierkasse (cheese), yogurt and granola parfait topped with red, white and blue currants.
Went off to a flea market in Freiburg, then the Post Office, the pharmacy, a dress shop where Jane bought a dress, then to Real (grocery store) where we had a great wine tasting. Put together a quick picnic.

Gundelfingen, Germany; Freiburg, Germany
Brekkies on the run, muesli and yogurt. Went into the village and mailed books to a fellow bookcrosser, then to Freiburg where Jane dropped Suzanne off while she went to pick up some prescriptions. Suzanne walked to the Starbucks to purchase a Freiburg coffee mug. We met up and headed to the Freiburger Munsterplatz, the open-air market surrounding the Munster (cathedral.) We shared a currywurst (so good!) and purchased some goat cheese with cranberries, and white and black currants.
Back to Gundelfingen to fill prescriptions then to the Jane's for a lunch of 11 cheese and a spinach salad. Packed up our books and towels and headed for the mineral baths. Made a detour to Aldi for chocolate and candy to bring back to Mike, and Jane bought a cute jeans skirt. (German for skirt: rock. Wacky Germans...)
Stayed at the mineral bath for 4 hours, swimming, resting and reading. Lovely sunny day but slightly cool.
On the way home, stopped at another Aldi, where Suzanne bought a rock (skirt, remember?) and some gifts. Got home and took Gerald for a walk, then walked to Charivari where we sat outside and had a bottle of Rose (10E) and calves' liver in sauce with potatoes and salad and pork knuckle grilled with bernaise sauce and a side salad. The waitress called us "crazy sisters." Went home and finished The Girl Who Kicked a Hornet's Nest.
